The Junior Hockey Section’s mission is to:
-Provide opportunities for all members to play and learn hockey in a fun, safe, effective and child friendly environment.
-Provide coaching sessions and competitive outlets for all members.
-Encourage more people into the sport of hockey by striving to reduce barriers identified by the club.
-Ensure junior members are encouraged to make the transition from junior hockey into senior club.
-Encourage the development of coaches and umpires.
-Develop and maintain club-school links.
-Strive to adopt and implement any relevant national, Regional and County Governing Body initiatives/policies.
To this end, youngsters are encouraged to help one another during training and matches, to play selflessly and for the benefit of the team. Players are expected to learn the rules of the game of hockey and to respect umpires, coaches and opponents at all times.
Players, coaches and parent/carers should abide by the respective codes of conduct which are necessary for the achievement of this mission
