For the second year, we have been the proud host of the Pennine sports partnership schools hockey finals.
Ten teams took part in the schools finals. A competitive group stage and semi-finals saw defending champs, Holmfirth Junior school vs Marsden Junior school. The two sides had faced off in the group stage, with Holmfirth getting a narrow win in the first game of the day. The rematch in the final would be equally close, with both sides attacking for the win. With the final whistle going it was the Tigers who would lifting the trophy for the second year in a row.
A great finals afternoon, with some impressive hockey on show. Massive thanks to the Dragons volunteered who umpired across the matches.
If you see this and would like to get more involved in hockey, then the Dragons could be for you.
